If believers worship with gladness and passion, anyone not yet a part of the community certainly will be attracted to the One who is the object of their worship. But to focus the worship on evangelistic introduction deprives believers of deeper nurturing toward Church being and deprives God of the intimate and involved worship due him from the Church.

Sometimes it is easier to hide behind self rejection and loathing rather than deal with specific areas of sin that the Lord points out to us. But what is easier often becomes a snare, never allowing us to truly take personal responsibility for our actions. For example, it can be easier to say, "I am a horrible person and utterly hopeless, so why even try?" than to say. "I repent of my selfish anger and with God's grace, choose to work with Him so I no longer live in this anger any longer"

The cross will prevail. This is the foundational truth that all of our understanding of these times must be based on. There will be no retreat in those who walk in the true light. When you open your shades at night, darkness does not come in and flood the room. Rather the light shines out into the darkness because light is stronger than darkness. The darker it becomes, the brighter our light will be. Where sin abounds, grace will that much more abound.

And yet, somehow or other, God does it. He enables you, He carries you through, He accomplishes the work to your own surprise and wonder As you lay hold of the Holy Spirit, it is done that is, if you do not sink down into yourself and give up and draw out because of what you are but you lay hold of the Holy Spirit and you get through and marvel that you have got through, that the Lord has done this thing through you, through me.
